Flexible legal in-house resource
BallingSchmidt offers legal consultancy services to businesses in need of a flexible legal in-house resource for a limited time period, a specific project, or as part of a long-term solution.
The need can range from assistance on one-off assignments of a few hours’ duration to fulfilment of a temporary legal role or ongoing support.
The services can support businesses that only need an in-house lawyer a few days a week (or even less) or have a fluctuating demand for legal assistance and do not want to commit to a fixed time consumption. It could be in connection with a scale-up case, implementation of organisational changes, application for licenses to regulated activities, integration of a new business area, etc.
With BallingSchmidt as your legal partner, I will be an internal legal resource and part of your team (see about my profile further below). You avoid employing a lawyer on a permanent basis and will be able to limit the use of external advisors in matters that are better suited to being handled internally.

Banking & finance law specialist
My name is Christina Balling Schmidt, and I am the person behind BallingSchmidt. I hold a master’s degree in law (cand.jur.) from the University of Copenhagen and obtained my attorney’s license at the law firm Plesner (my license is deposited).
I have almost 20 years’ experience within banking and finance law, and I have been engaged in the financial sector and PE funds from various perspectives throughout my career.
My experience is built upon eight years of practice as a lawyer in the banking and finance departments at large law firms (Plesner, Hannes Snellman, and Accura) and nearly ten years as an in-house lawyer for financial institutions (Danske Bank, the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO), and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken). During my employment at Plesner, I was seconded to a law firm in New York for a period.
My entry into the consultancy business was through Resolva, where I was employed for two years before establishing my own firm in January 2025. At Resolva, I worked (inter alia) as a legal consultant within the legal areas asset management and fund investments.
